這一首〈The sound of silence〉在三、四十多年前，筆者駐唱的年代裡，是屬於比較令聽眾或觀眾為之驚艷的歌曲，原因無它～因為它是以吉他伴奏為主的歌曲，只要你彈奏得跟原曲極為相同的節奏共鳴，常常會讓人以為不是現場演唱，而是在播放卡帶或是唱片，當然這最大的因素是歌手的歌聲與原唱極為接近的關係……而在我駐唱的生涯裡，被這樣誤以為的情況，其實相當相當的多……尤其是以「灰狼羅伯」的歌曲演唱時最常發生，當然還有演唱﹝文森‧梵谷﹞時，也是相同的，自然這首〈沈默之聲〉，也同樣被誤會多次，每次被人質疑時，坦白說，心中是蠻自豪的……呵呵。

人們寫著毫無感情分享的歌

而且沒有人敢去驚擾沈默之聲

「沈默像癌細胞一樣蔓延
